I have been a little slow but we arrived at Ft. Knox mid afternoon on Monday, August 9. In route here, we spent one night on linnville parkthe road, staying at Linnville City Park, exit 35 of I-64 thorough Indiana. It is a pretty nice park with full hook-ups and 50A power for only $18/night. It is a bit more than a mile from the exit, but made a nice stop on the way.

rv siteSince our son is stationed here we are able to stay in the base RV park, known as Camp Carlson. It is a very nice park, with sites that all have water and 50/30A electricity and most are pretty level. Just about half of the sites also have sewer. As is usually the case, we are in a non-sewer site to start but expect to move to one with sewer by camp carlsonSunday. Since the camp does allow for long term visits, the sewer sites are usually filled. The park has recently remodeled showers and laundromat and facilities are quite nice. We are about a 10 minute drive from our son's home. The only major drawback to the park is that there is no reliable cell phone service. They do have free wifi however so we can get internet. The manager tells me that they are considering a cell antenna on a high tower with a repeater for the campground, since they are well inside of the base and in a very deep valley. The phone is a pretty minor issue for us, as we come to our children's house daily and so can find any missed calls.
